CBC is talking about my home riding of Skeena, where Robin Austin (Education Critic, Incumbent) appears to be taking a beating at the hands of Carol LeClerc (Liberal).
Skeena is traditionally a very strong NDP riding, and this shift appears to be driven by voters in the region that are a) pro-LNG/pro-Gateway and b) due to the mass exodus of Eurocan union trades-people after West Fraser closed the mill in Kitimat c) not originally from the Skeena region and from other parts of the province/country that recently migrated there for retirement or camp work. – Tia
